These qualifications are specific to individual job roles and require the learner to demonstrate ‘occupational competence’ prior to being able to gain a Skilled Worker CSCS card.

Build UK Contractors, require everyone who works on their sites to holds or be working towards a CSCS card that is specific to their job role, whether they’re a Contracts Manager, Site Foreman or Groundworker, everyone needs to demonstrate they can safely carry out the role they’re employed to do, therefore NVQ’s and the CSCS carding scheme are in place.

All NVQ’s are delivered via the OSAT ‘On Site Assessment & Training’ route, which is usually around 2-4 site visits, this will depend on the candidate’s experience evidence produced and observations, completed. All criteria MUST meet NOCN awarding body requirements, prior to being submitted for certification.

The construction industry offers qualifications from Level 1 to Level 7, Level 1 being for Labourers and Level 7 Senior Construction Managers.
